About Direct Response

What we do?

Back in 2000 we set out with a bold vision to become the UK's best communications company by delivering quality solutions that actually make a difference. We wanted to approach the world of telecoms from a different angle by putting the customer and their needs first. It is this thinking that is the forefront of everything we do. Over 10 years on (…wow time flies when you're having fun) and we're well on our way to achieving our aim.


What makes us different?

The initial vision for us was to make sure the customer was first and so our entire structure is geared around working for the customer and not for ourselves. It's important that our customers enjoy working with us and ultimately grow and develop as a result of our relationship.

So who are we?

Our three founders all had a collective aim in that the world of communications needed changing. It needs to be about customers not commissions and service provision needs to be an enjoyable experience for the customer. These three founders are:

Chris Robinson

In 1989 Chris went to the USA where he built up an aircraft simulation consultancy. He returned to England in 1993 as the Operations Director and Co-founder of Message Plus. In 2000, Chris joined pre IPO as the Chief Operating Director. Chris prepared the company for floatation and then engineered his exit to found Direct Response.

He has a BSc in Engineering and an MBA in International Business.


Ian Mitchell

Ian has worked as a consultant for The Overseas Development Administration and The Body Shop and went on to set up the inbound voice service for Alternative Networks. Under Ian's sales management company sales increased from 6 million pounds to 17 million pounds over a 2 year period and was the 17th fastest growing company in the UK

Ian has a degree in Human Geography and an MSc from the University of Bristol.


Adam Tilson

On leaving university, Adam worked in the financial sector, managing and technically supporting large accounts. He developed his sales skills with Adjustamatic Beds where he rapidly became one of the top sales people. Adam is now sales manager of Direct Response Ltd.

Adam has a BSc from the University of Leeds
